Our History

Park Lane Development was formed in 2000 by Omaha entrepreneurs Les Robbins and Terry Mallott for the purpose of providing senior housing and residential real estate opportunities to Knoxville, Iowa. They have blended their individual unique expertise’s, with the assistance of many other talented individuals, and have transformed a corn field into a multi-purpose housing development.

The 25 acre Deerfield Subdivision is the first new residential development in Knoxville since the 1970’s. Deerfield includes the following:

  • Park Lane Village, an assisted living community
  • Park Lane Village Memory Center, a memory/dementia care assisted living community
  • Care Initiatives, a nursing home 36 single family housing lots
  • Fountain View Condominium Association, a 55 years and over 22 unit condominium community
  • Future sites for additional residential uses

The close proximity to schools, parks, shopping, restaurants, employment, and Highway 14 and 5 have made Deerfield Subdivision a desirable area for people of all ages. Its quite, gentle rolling streets and friendly neighborhood atmosphere is ideal for a safe living environment.
